Went to New Brunswick’s College of Craft and Design - amazing little gem of a place. Learned how to mix the world of creative and business. Pretty handy.
Worked for many interesting companies, mostly tech. Fun to figure out how to tell complicated stories simply. Created brands and all the bits and pieces needed to tell that good story, adding illustration and nice warm design feelings because businesses sell to humans and humans have feelings.
Last fews years I, along with business partner Allan Gates founded Bonfire Communications, a marketing and ad agency. We spun out an online business publication called Huddle.Today. Started as an idea and before we knew it thousands read it every day. Ideas can be dangerous, but this one worked out amazingly.
Today, I’m back to my roots. Although, I love the hustle and bustle of running a business that’s sometimes most of what your day is - running the business. You know what, I’m not a business person, I’m a designer and illustrator. And, that’s what I do now. All the time. It’s perfect.
